SFSC Kappa League Scholarship
Kappa League is a national program to mentor male students in grades 6th-12th by providing educational, occupational and social guidance. The first Kappa League program was founded by the Los Angeles Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. in February 1969. In August 1970, Kappa League was expanded when it was adopted by the Grand Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
The men of the San Fernando-Santa Clarita Valley Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi (i.e., the Valley Nupes) launched its award-winning Kappa League Program in September 2017 at Wiley Canyon Elementary School in Newhall, California. Since 2017, the program has grown immensely, won several awards, and given away thousands of dollars of scholarships to male students.
As the official auxiliary of the San Fernando-Santa Clarita Valley Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., the Valley Silhouettes have volunteered at and otherwise supported various fundraisers hosted by the Valley Nupes to raise funds for SFSC Kappa League Scholarships.
